Road Trip -> Pacific Northwest -> Portland, OR

No Pictures here either. It was gray and drab and somewhat uninspiring. Portland did have a contest recently where businesses sponsor local artists who are each given a lifesize fiberglass cow and asked to do something creative with it. We were fortunate enough to talk with the winner who did the "Incredible Shrinking Kow". Check out the entries and the cause at http://www.kowsforkids.com Kimber chased pigeons 'til they all flew away in fright and we had lunch at a good Irish pub with dollar bill wrapped quarters stuck to the ceiling. We also got to visit Lewis and Clark College where Jessica when to school for a year. Pretty campus with old stone buildings, symmetrical gardens, and a pool that apparently never gets used, except by Jessica and her friends late one night about 10 years ago. I got to see where all the good parties were, where Jessica used to live, work, and eat among other things. We also took time to stop and call my parents to apologize for all the trouble we gave them on road trips over the years.
